Ana Tiscornia, Artist (Uruguay)
Liliana Porter (Argentina) lives and works in New York. Her work includes engraving, photography, works on canvas, installations, video and theatre. She is a corresponding academic in Argentina, and for the United States of America, and a Professor Emeritus of the City University of New York at Queens College. She received the Guggenheim Scholarship in 1980. Among the museums that include her work are: the MoMA; the Whitney Museum of American Art; the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía; the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the Museo de Arte Moderno and the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano from Buenos Aires; the Tate Modern; and the Museo Tamayo, Mexico.
Ana Tiscornia (Uruguay) is a visual artist, curator, teacher, researcher and Uruguayan art editor. Since 1991 she lives in the United States, where she teaches at the State University of New York. Her work is distinguished by the manipulation of everyday objects in sculptures and collages. She has exhibited her own work, as well as curated exhibitions from other artists, in the United States, Europe and Latin America. She has represented Uruguay in international biennials, such as Lima and Havana. Her work is present at the Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales from Montevideo as well as in galleries and public and private collections.
Raúl Naón (Argentina) is a collector and a cultural manager, the vice-president of Fundación Espigas and its Centro de Documentación para la Historia de las Artes Visuales en Argentina, and the vice-president of the Fundación IDA (Investigación en Diseño Argentino).
