Daniel Orson Ybarra (Uruguay) Born in Uruguay. At 18, he embarked on an 8-year adventure, which took him through South and North Americas, Europe, Scandinavia, North Africa, and the Middle East. In 1984, Ybarra settled in Geneva and has been spending his time between Geneva and Barcelona where he collaborates with architects on projects dealing with the study of space and its relationship with light. He works with watercolors, gouaches, acrylics, waxes, resins, pigments, oils, and collage. Ybarra’s work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions and is represented in public and corporate collections including Museo Atarazanas (Spain) and Collection R.R. (Spain).
Patricia Bentancur (Uruguay) director of the Art and New Media Department of the Cultural Center of Spain (CCE) in Montevideo. She has curated more than 200 exhibitions in different museums, cultural centers and biennials in Europe and Latin America. She studied architecture at the University of the Republic of Montevideo and at the School of Architecture of Madrid. She participated as a researcher of the Fullbright Academic Program, she developed her research at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York. She has edited more than a hundred books on Ibero-American contemporary art. She has worked in collaboration with institutions and museums such as: MNARS, MOMA, Sammlung Goetz Collection, Walker Art Center, Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz Collection, TEOR / éTica Foundation, Engelman-Ost Collection, Tomie Ohtake Institute and the Conceptualism Network of the South.
João Varella is a journalist and editor, founder of the Lote 42 publishing house and the Sala Tatuí and Banca Tatuí bookstores. The Brazilian initiatives received awards such as the Milton Santos, HOW Design Awards, Lusos, Jovens Talentos da Indústria do Livro, among others. Lot 42 explores the possibilities of language and design, showing that the book can take unsuspected forms to give force to an editorial catalogue. Banca Tatuí is a kiosk-bookstore that offers a wide selection of artist's books and independent publications, both Brazilian and Latin American. The Sala Tatuí is a bookstore with a scheduled time and space for courses. João wrote the books Videogame Pandemia, Videogame, a Evolução da Arte, 42 Haicais e 7 Ilustrações, A Agenda e Curitibocas. He articulated the arrival of Indie Book Day in Brazil. He was born in Guaíba (RS) and currently lives in São Paulo.
