Beyond digital art
Today digital art is a reality. Just as in the 90s there was talk of multimedia, today the term that best reflects reality is transmedia, referring to a totally connected universe in which the limits are increasingly imperceptible and technology is the best ally. Art no longer has a single support nor does it need to be tangible. The five senses are at the disposal of the artistic experience, where the spectator is one more protagonist. While several artistic disciplines suffered with the arrival of the pandemic, this new version of art has been strengthened in the last two years. The digital was installed as a new way to develop creativity. Along this path, one of the most innovative tools are the NFTs, one more step in the creation and commercialization of abstract artistic products, made to measure, eternal and mutating at the same time. The academy, the museums, the galleries and the festivals acknowledged receipt of this innovation and, little by little, included them in their agenda. There is talk of digital art, virtual art, immersive art and non-tangible art. Paradigms are broken, forms change, but the essence of art remains intact.
