Booth walkthrough with artist Daniel Stroomer, a.k.a. Nasepop
In conversation with Eugenio Ottolenghi, Director, OTTO Galería
In Spanish, without translation.
Open to the public.

Daniel Stroomer, a.k.a. Nasepop (1982, Amsterdam, Netherlands), is an artist currently residing and working in Argentina. He began painting graffiti at a young age in the newly developed city of Almere, continuing this practice for approximately 20 years. In 2008, he moved to Buenos Aires, where his work evolved from traditional graffiti to embrace a digital aesthetic. The transition from the analog world to the digital era profoundly influenced his creative process, leading him to explore new materials, forms, and vibrant color palettes. Nasepop's work focuses on abstract and architectural themes, which emerged from his transition to smaller studio formats. The stark contrast between his native Netherlands and Buenos Aires further shaped his artistic evolution. In recent years, Nasepop has expanded into the world of sculpture, creating works in wood and metal that extend his abstract painting language. His sculptures, rooted in his urban graffiti background, explore visual disruptions in cityscapes. Nasepop continues to craft murals, graffiti, sculptures, and objects that generate distortion and intrigue in their surroundings, reflecting his ongoing engagement with the urban environment.

Eugenio Ottolenghi has been the director of OTTO Galería since its founding in 2016. During this time, he has developed and led the gallery's artistic program, curating artists and creating a space dedicated to contemporary proposals. His approach focuses on fostering critical and conceptual dialogues that highlight the uniqueness of each exhibition, strengthening the connection between the artist, the artwork, and the audience.

A medical doctor and psychoanalyst by profession, Ottolenghi naturally gravitated toward art, influenced by a family of artists, gallerists, and architects. His expertise in the contemporary art market was further honed while working alongside Jorge Mara, participating in over 50 international art fairs, and gaining experience in artwork selection, curatorial scripts, and the art market.

Currently, he co-directs OTTO Galería with his wife and partner, Martina Pittaluga, positioning the space as a benchmark for contemporary art. He also balances his passion for art with his professional practice as a psychoanalyst.
