Fernanda Gutiérrez (Santiago, Chile) holds a degree in Contemporary Art and Culture from Universidad del Desarrollo (Santiago, Chile), a diploma in printmaking with artist Francisco Copello, and studied Experimental Painting and Sculpture at San Diego State University (California, USA). She has exhibited at institutions such as Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Valdivia (Valdivia, Chile), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Santiago, Chile), Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral (Santiago, Chile), San Diego State University (California, USA), Galería La Sala (Santiago, Chile), and Galería Espacio O (Santiago, Chile). Her work addresses recurring themes such as education, self-esteem, and social judgment, drawing from her personal experience within a repressive educational system. With a critical perspective, she exposes the frustrations of social and religious rules. Fernanda is also a member of the art collective Hipermercado Casino, which she co-founded in 2013 with artists Florencia Serrano and Daniela Claro.
